There are times during the year when the veils between the worlds grow thin…and there are places on this planet where the veils are pretty damn thin to begin with.

COME TO SAMHAIN AT WOLF CREEK SANCTUARY!

Friday October 24th through Monday November 3rd, 2008
Nomenus Wolf Creek Sanctuary for Radical Faeries and Their Friends
4525 Lower Wolf Creek Road
Wolf Creek, Oregon

The Witchy Woo-Woo and the Witchy What-What:

Samhain at Wolf Creek is celebration, communion, and ritual.
It is also camping, in the Oregon Woods, in October.
Come prepared for all weather scenarios:
It is usually sunny and hot during the day, and can be downright chilly at night.
This being Oregon, it may rain.
Pack a couple of tarps.
There is indoor sleeping space for those with special needs, but it is very limited.
Please contact the sanctuary if you have special sleeping needs, otherwise:
Come Prepared to Rough It.

Come Prepared to Collaborate, too: the gathering is exactly as gorgeously, thrillingly, powerful as we make it. In other words, ain't nothing getting done unless we do it, and there are a zillion different ways to plug in to community and contribute.

Calling All Kitchen Queens, Calling all Kitchen Queens: if you have an interest in headlining a meal, contact the Sanctuary right away so that we can plan ahead with you.

Suggested donation is $35 dollars per day, more if you can, less if you can't, no one turned away for lack of funds.

What to Bring:
Tent, tarps, sleeping bag, flashlight
Hot water bottle
Warm clothes, hat, gloves, long underwear
Raingear
Towel
Biodegradable shampoo and toothpaste (all water drains into the Creek!)
Weatherproofed pictures and offerings for Ancestor Altar
Books and pictures of Faerie lore and ancestors
Fabulous outfits and drag to share
Drums, musical instruments, songs to share
Tarot cards, tools of magick
High heels, floggers, cuffs, leather, furs, lace
Body paint, glitter, nail polish, sex toys
Art supplies and craft projects, poetry to read
An idea for a circle or workshop
Favorite recipes and cooking skills
Willingness to pitch in
A vision of what you want this community to be/look like/feel like
A sense of humor and appreciation for our differences
A number for the talent show
A clearly divined Intention
Your best and most fabulous friends!

If you can bring food for the gathering -- such as day-old bread or enough other healthy yummy food to feed 75-100 people –- that is simply fabulous! Please call and let us know ahead of time so we can plan it into our shopping.

SANCTUARY WISH LIST

If you have any of these items, please bring them to donate to the Sanctuary.

We want to create a stockpile of non-perishable food in case of emergency, so whole grains and beans (5 lbs or more of rice, oats, beans, etc.) and canned food are especially welcome.

Canning supplies (quart jars, rings, lids, pectin)
Towels
Water glasses, plastic cups, coffee mugs, bowls
Five-gallon buckets
Candle-making supplies for Imbolc (paraffin, beeswax, wicks, molds, etc.)
Mattresses, especially a queen-sized mattress for the Whores' Bed in the Barn (please call ahead of time before bringing mattresses)

SOME THOUGHTS ON SUBSTANCES…

There is an ongoing dialogue in our community regarding substance use.
These are our intentions for the use of medicines such as tobacco and other herbs and substances:

*To create a strong container and a clear conduit for our personal and tribal magic.
*To respect the diversity of experiences, beliefs, and boundaries around substance use.
*To support the healing work of those in recovery or struggling with addiction.
*To honor the medicine spirits and to ask for their blessings.

DUE TO FIRE-SAFETY CONCERNS, SMOKING IS ONLY ALLOWED IN THE FOLLOWING PLACES:
In the Smoking Circle behind the Barn
In the Smoking Circle behind Garden House
On the South side of the firepit
In the parking lot.

COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS
We ask you to respect these agreements while at this Gathering:
*Please use all substances intentionally, mindfully, and with respect for yourself and those around you.
*Please be responsible for all items you bring to the Sanctuary. If you pack it in, pack it out. Please leave your camping space and our whole Sanctuary in a better condition than you found it.

ABSOLUTELY NO:
*Speed, heroin, or cocaine—not in you, not on you, not in your car.
*Violence or intolerance.
*Fire, smoking, candles, or incense on paths or at campsites.
*Please bring only natural safe burning items for our community cauldron. The Samhain fire consumes and transmutes that which we release there. Symbols are powerful; synthetics poison the air of your brother/sisters.

Don't Bring a Mess * Don't Be a Mess * Don't Leave a Mess

REGISTER TODAY!
By registering today, you can make the whole Gathering run a little smoother. Or in other words, registering early plays a poignant part in preventing piss poor planning and petty performance.

The suggested donation is $35 per person per day (more if you can, less if you can't, no one turned away for lack of funds). Please plan to contribute energy in its crystallized form (i.e. money if you can), and also in the form of work, love, and participation.

!!! Right this minute, please email us your registration form, or better yet, print it out and send it with a check. Make checks payable to Nomenus. !!!
