Tues, 12/20, MEN TOUCHING WITH HEART: on the Winter Solstice, use movement & healing touch to explore your shadow – those parts of you that seem to sabotage you from getting what you want. Many of us spend an enormous amount of time and energy distracting ourselves from our shadow or running from it. When we turn and look at our shadow, it is astonishing how simple its needs are, and how much energy it has to give us -- if we would work with it, not always against it. A licensed massage therapist, movement facilitator, yoga teacher, and long-time facilitator of shadow work will help men to use touch and movement as tools to gently get in touch with the feelings and needs of the so-called “dark-side” of our being.

Sat, 1/7/06, MEN’S VISION QUEST RETREAT: Five incredible artists are collaborating to help you use various creative tools (story-telling, movement, collage, painting, psycho-drama, meditation) to explore, express, prioritize, and get support to manifest your visions. They’ll also help you explore and integrate the needs behind cynicism, procrastination, and fear, so they don’t sabotage you. For most of human history, men have supported one another in teams/tribes to explore, express, & manifest their visions. In modern times many of us lack the powerful support of a team in discovering and manifesting our authentic visions for intimacy/community, health, spirituality, work, and play – and a life that balances these realms. This retreat will have two parts (you may attend either or both):
* Part 1, 1:00-5:00 pm Creative Playshop: Discover your visions with art, movement, mindfulness
* Part 2, 7:00 pm – 12:00 am Get support in clarifying & manifesting your vision (make it real)
